Phoenix Childrens Hospital UCSF-Stanford Pediatric Device Consortium Benjamin Padilla, MD, is a pediatric surgeon at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and was on the pediatric surgery faculty at UCSF until 2019. His clinical specialties include treatment of chest wall malformations in children and adolescents, pediatric extracorporeal life support, and pediatric endocrine surgery. Dr. Padilla’s research focuses on establishing innovative new therapies and devices for pediatric conditions, including through the use of real-world evidence. Dr. Padilla recently led an NIH-funded prospective, randomized trial evaluating the use of cryoanalgesia as a method of pain control in the Nuss procedure. He has led the UCSF-Stanford PDC’s RWE project since its inception in 2018.
